Candlelight: Tribute to Fleetwood Mac Honolulu Concert reviews
OPENING NIGHT PITTSBURGH 1/16/2016
The River 2026 tour kicked off in Pittsburgh at 8pm precisely, with the E Street Band (no extra horns, background singers) - just the band with replacements for our missing brothers Big Man and Danny Fed: Charlie G, Jake Clemons. With the house lights on, the band takes the stage. Candlelight: Queen vs. ABBA Tribute begins, saying “PITTSBURGH…PITTSBURGH..We’re so glad to be in your beautiful City tonight” and the Band started playing a River out take “Meet me in the City Tonight”. The crowd was on their feet, everyone on the floor knew all the Lyrics. A great overall atmosphere, friendly, mixed age crowd with strong singers. The first chance to sit down was Independence day. The River is a rocker, with moments of greatness - wreck on the highway, stolen car, price you pay, drive all night, oh and a beautiful Point blank - the songs to sit for. The band sounded great, enjoying the show as much as we were. Candlelight: Queen vs. ABBA Tribute did their crowd surfing (it took a little longer to get him back to stage, as the crowd detoured his surfing body!) Patti was back singing with Stevie, and Soozie was playing next to Nils. The arena was electric, the crowd there to receive, as much as the band gives out, and then some. Since taking the stage at 8pm, 21 songs were played. Candlelight: Queen vs. ABBA Tribute and the band stood arm in arm center stage, saying "The River". They then mentioned “we have a few more to play for you tonight. Backstreets, Brilliant disguise, Bobby Jean, Bad lands, Because the night, “Rebel Rebel” with words for Bowie. The Rising, Rosey Born to Run. Shout ends the show with crowds glorious applause as the band stands on stage thanking crowd. Looking at my watch, it's 11:24pm, a solid non stop show from 8pm, lasting 3 hours 24 minutes. The longest show I have seen in years.
